Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS sitcom Mom. Calvano, a Californian native had a first interest in competitive gymnastics. However, she later made the decision to go after a job acting. She debuted on the screen in 2010 in an Episode of CBS's 'NCIS. In the biographical crime-drama movie J Edgar, she made her first appearance on the big screen a couple of months after. She is one of the hottest actresses in recent years. In recognition of her role in the show 'NCIS', she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance on a Television Series - Guest Starring Young Actress 11-15 in 2011. The year 2013 saw Calvano nominated once again for a Young Artist Award. This time, for her appearance on the Disney XD show 'Kickin' It'. Calvano had a role in the ensemble cast of Mom throughout its first three seasons and was featured on several occasions in the fourth. She was awarded the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Best Female Actor - Rising Star, thanks to her role in 'Mom.
